IEEE OREGON CONSULTANTS’ MEETING December 02, 2004 MEETING MINUTES (PROPOSED) The IEEE Oregon Consultants’ network, “ORCNET” met on December 02, 2004, at the Beaverton IHOP restaurant at the intersection of Walker Road and 158th Avenue. Registered attendees included: Joe Tabor (Chair), Keith Lofstrom (webmaster), Brian Conley (Treasurer), Henri Joyaux (Activities), Ron Jaworski (secretary), Pat Barrett, Tim Wescott, and Steve Wetterling. Guests included: None. MEETING: 7:10 PM: Joe Tabor (Chair) called the meeting to order. The Chair motioned to approve the minutes from the September ORCNET meeting. The minutes were approved. Business: Chair: Joe reported that we had five presentations this year. He requested that members submit presentation ideas to him with contact information and that Henri will set up the meetings. Treasurer: Brian reported that ORCNET’s present balance is $2267. New Business: The Chair motioned for the nomination of the ORCNET officers for 2005. The motion was approved. The following individuals were nominated to officer positions: Chair Joe Tabor Treasurer Brian Conley Secretary Joe Tabor (will perform a dual role) Webmaster Keith Lofstrom Activities Henri Joyaux Other Business: Joe mentioned that he attended the NASB (National Association of Broadcasters) in San Francisco. He met the famous Mr. Moog, creator of many classic music synthesizers. Webmaster: Keith mentioned that he has a 3-part article on backup software in the January issue of the Systems Administration Journal. 7:25 PM: Meeting adjourned.
