IEEE OREGON CONSULTANTS' MEETING December 4, 2003 MEETING MINUTES (PROPOSED) The IEEE Oregon Consultants' Network, "ORCNET" met on December 4, 2003, at the Beaverton IHOP restaurant at the intersection of Walker Road and 158th Avenue. Registered attendees to the meeting were: H. Joe Tabor (chair), Henri B. Joyaux (activities director), Keith Lofstrom (webmaster), Brian B. Conley, (treasurer), Duke Aguiar, Pete Perkins, David Simmon, Steve Wetterling, Robert Treadway Guests included Tom Scott, Jim Karlock MEETING: 7:10pm: Meeting called to order. Part I. Guest Speaker Steve Wetterling, Servenger, LLC, gave a talk on the underlying technology of Anadigms's Field Programmable Analog Arrays (FPAA), basic sampling theory, and how to implement designs using software tools provided by Anadigm. Also, Steve gave a "live" demo using an Anadigm evaluation board to process the audio of a musical piece, through a Low Pass filter, as programmed on the FPAA device. The FPAA program was modified, by requests of the audience to different frequencies, and the audio output was modified by the filer as expected. Part II. Election of Officers: New Officers Elected for 2004: H. Joe Tabor was elected Chair. Brian B. Conley was elected Treasurer. Ron Jaworski was elected Secretary. Keith Lofstrom was elected webmaster. Henri B. Joyaux was elected Activities Director. Part III. Business As it was decided at the previous October meeting, business would be conducted at specially designated business meetings. The chair offered the membership an opportunity to call a business meeting. No requests for a business meeting were made at this time. 8:25PM: Meeting ADJOURNED Minutes submitted for approval by H.
