WHAT:   Minutes of April 2000 ORCNET Meeting

18:30 - Gathering began: discuss ORCNET biz, chat, eat
	1.	It was suggested that we need a graceful way to limit members' 
            self-introductions to about 30 seconds max.  (This evenings' 
		intros were subsequently skipped, to facilitate the Presentation.)
		Pat agrees; matter needs discussion.  Ideas?

	2.	At least one member does not want to discuss business while eating, 
		so our latest scheme (eat+biz @6:30, Presentation @7:30) needs a
		respin.

19:30 - Call to Order & announcements
	1.	Phil Witham has updated our website and established a reciprocal
            link with a California "neighbor" IEEE network.  Thanks!

	2.	The deadline for renewing your IEEE Directory listing is 5 May 2000.

	3.	This week's NWMCIA tradeshow was not well attended; needs
            discussion. Many thanks to those who contributed to the setup

		(ie: not ".com").  Be sure to update your records.

	Speaker:  Ms. Karen Dana Oster, Attorney At Law, Miller Nash, LLP.
	"Protecting Intellectual Property Using Patents, Copyrights, Trademarks 
	and Trade Secrets"

	...An excellent evening with 15 in attendance and a lively discussion!
	Ms. Oster is a knowledgeable, entertaining speaker.

21:30 - Adjourn

	Pat Barrett has the attendance sheets for the March and April meetings 
	because he doesn't know who should get them...
